There is a new member of the Beaconhouse
family as of January 2005: the Beaconhouse Pre-School in Bangsar,
Malaysia. With the joy of new parents, we have followed its development
and rebirth from its initial stages as an existing, yet antiquated
school, to a flourishing, refurbished jewel bearing the Beaconhouse
colours and spirit. From the academic perspective, we have already
seen extraordinary results from our introduction of Beaconhouse’s
trademark Early Years Education curriculum. With brand new equipment,
furniture and a high level of energy from the teaching and administration,
Beaconhouse in Bangsar has introduced itself within the Malaysian
pre-school educational community with distinction.
In addition to the physical transformation of the
school, the Beaconhouse team worked diligently during the weeks
and months preceding the start of the school year to retain the
previous owner’s existing students and boost new enrollments
as well. Of course, as the word spreads within the surrounding
areas and the Beaconhouse brand becomes a permanent part of the
educational landscape, we are confident that this number will
increase.
I am also very pleased with our teaching staff. Our
new, dedicated teachers are undergoing Beaconhouse training, and
much progress has already been made toward the physical, social,
musical and intellectual development of Bangsar’s Beaconhouse
kids.
Please join me in recognizing, not only the achievement
seen in opening the Bangsar location, but in the academic and
developmental achievements of our Beaconhouse kids. Although the
youngest member of the Beaconhouse family, the Bangsar school
will work hard to shine brightly and be the light that lovingly
develops our young students to prepare them for a life of continued
learning.
