Cambridge International Curriculum
Beaconhouse International Schools offers the Cambridge International Curriculum at Primary, Secondary and IGCSE levels. The University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world’s largest provider of International education programmes and qualifications for 5 – 19 year olds. The CIE programmes aims to develop learners who are confident, responsible, innovative and engaged which prepares them for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. At primary and secondary 1 level (reception to Year 9), it enables teachers to assess students’ learning as they progress with two optional assessments: Cambridge Primary Progression Tests and Cambridge Checkpoints, which are internationally benchmarked. These regular assessments help ensure that teachers keep track of students’ progress and respond appropriately to their learning needs.
Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. Developed over 25 years ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide. It is recognized by the world’s best universities and employers, as evidence of academic achievement giving students a wide range of options in their education and career and is an international passport to progression and success. Many universities require a combination of Cambridge International ‘A’ Levels and Cambridge IGCSEs to meet their entry requirement.
