Academic Procedures

A student’s academic progress is monitored in various ways: informally by the teacher’s observation and more formally by assessment of class work and progress reporting.

In all classes a progress report on each student will be presented to parents at the end of each term. Parents are strongly advised to attend the Parent-Teacher Meetings where they can discuss all aspects of their child’s progress in detail. When necessary, parents can meet teachers at other times too, but arrangements for such meetings are only made through the Head of School.

Promotion
In normal circumstances a student is promoted to the next level at the end of a school year. This promotion depends on their overall performance throughout the year and not solely on any final test or examination. When the need arises to reconsider the special request of parents, the decision of the Head of School will be final.
